Christmas 2000 is now history. I faired pretty darn good. All the stuff will appear here in the coming weeks, the 21st Century Kublewagon, both the North VietNam soldiers also from 21st Century, my Forward Observer, and Inchon Marine from my brother. 2 Jeeps, and 5 Cotswold Germans from my wife.
I do not think I enjoyed Christmas this much since I was a kid. Not only the stuff I got but also shopping for my brother and his boy. Looking in the stores, only briefly, and surfing the web for Action Figures for both of them. It was maybe more fun looking for them than the thoughts of what I was getting.
The boy was on cloud 9 with his stuff, till Santa Brought his N64 then that was the greatest, but it is the year 2000 and video games are way more fun than action figures to most 6 year old boys. But still watching him tear into the stuff was fun and watching him tell his dad that his guys were way cooler than his. Now I know why our parents got us so much when we were young. It is quite a rush watching the face light up[ and rip those things open and the hours and hopefully years of fun to be had.
It makes it all worth it to see them at Christmas.
